Laptop Mode is designed for computers that are not permanently connected to a network. Once laptop mode has been switched on (see below), a second Dictation Directory will appear. The Directory on the left represents the local folder structure, that on the right shows the folders on the network. Dictations in both directories can be dragged and dropped as required, for example into the typist's work folder.

To switch on Laptop Mode, right-click on the top line of the Dictation Directory and select the menu option "Laptop mode on".

The second Dictation Directory will now be displayed. Dictations in local folders (i.e. in the left Directory) can be selected and dragged-and-dropped into network folders (the Directory on the right).
As an alternative, you can use the Automatic comparison function in this menu, which can be started automatically using the option on the Options / Workflow tab.
Pressing the Record button will turn off Laptop Mode.
If the connection to the server is broken while recording a dictation, the dictation will automatically be saved in a local folder. When the connection to the server has been re-established, the dictation can be moved to the server via Laptop Mode as described above.
The directories are set under Options / Workflow.
To switch off Laptop Mode, right-click on the top line of the Dictation Directory and select the menu option "Laptop mode off". The second Dictation Directory will disappear.
Since dictations saved in local folders cannot be accessed from other computers, check that dictations have been saved into the appropriate folders before disconnecting from the network.
