Loading a Dictation

Left click in Column A of a dictation (on the loudspeaker symbol) in Dictation Manager to load it.

Loaded dictations can be played back in both Recorder and Player, but can only be edited in the Recorder.

The Loudspeaker-plus-sheet-of-paper symbol shows that a Dragon speech-recognized or ClipWriter text exists for the dictation.

The Loudspeaker-plus-envelope symbol shows that the dictation has been sent by e-mail and is now blocked for further editing. To unblock and allow editing, left-click on the gray field to the left of the Loudspeaker symbol to select that dictation row (marked in blue), then right-click on the row and select the menu option "Unblock dictation" .

The Head-in-Profile symbol in Column A shows that a dictation has already been loaded and is therefore blocked for further loading.
If marked in olive green the dictation has been loaded on another computer. If the dictation row is marked in bright green, you yourself have loaded the dictation (you can change this color setting on your computer).
Only the computer that has loaded the dictation can unblock it.

IntroScan

IntroScan is a function that automatically plays the beginning section (i.e. previews) of multiple dictations. Select these dictations in Dictation Overview and press the Play/Pause button (could be your footswitch) to start. Press the same button again to stop.  The currently playing dictation is marked in blue. The selected dictations will now be played for a few seconds and then you can immediately enter any relevant details (File ref., Author, Remarks etc) in the Save menu.

The Playback time for this preview can be set under OptionS/ PLAYer in the Player - 8 seconds is the default setting.
